The NTC Thermistor (Negative Temperature Coefficient) is a temperature-sensitive resistor whose resistance decreases as temperature increases. It is commonly used as an Inrush Current Limiter (ICL) to reduce the high surge current that occurs when electrical equipment is first powered on, helping protect power supplies, transformers, motors, and electronic circuits.
