The circuit operates by dividing the voltage across two resistors and measuring it in between them. The module is produces an output at a factor 5:1. The upper limit of the voltage is governed by the maximum input allowed on your microcontrollers analog pin. In the case of a normal Arduino UNO this would be 5V. This would allow a voltage up to 25V to be passed through the divider – producing 5V between the resistors.
Please be aware using this module with a voltage that may divide down to higher than your analog pins rating may cause damage to your microcontroller.
